Every year we make a resolution.
Every year we break a resolution.
It’s a vicious cycle and most of us are quite satisfied to see it through. Right through to the ultimate failure. Statistics show that 50% of all resolutions fail by the end of January, 90% by the end of the first quarter. Why start something we know we aren’t, in our hearts, going to finish?
In music a resolution is a completion of something that hasn’t been finished. It’s not a new beginning, it’s an ending. So here I am again at the beginning of the year wanting to start by finishing something out: Ending the life of an almighty quest…..
No. Not this year.
This is 2006. The year of the Revolution. It’s time to change what I’ve always thought was normal and average to seek out the things that make my life whole and complete. It’s time to look deep inside myself and realize the person that I really can be. It’s a new day of clarity, a fresh blowing breeze that heightens my senses and helps me discover that I am truly alive.
This year I challenge you all to start the ReVolution with me. Step out of the shell of a person who believes themselves to be challenged by the world around them and become the person that changes it. Look into your heart and discover the childlike qualities that exist deep within your soul. Breathe deep the fresh air and live today as if there is no tomorrow.
The ReVolution has started. Let no one be left behind.
Andy
